Paediatric First Aid

Paediatric First Aid (PFA) is a 12-hour (2-day) course that teaches how to effectively perform first aid on young children and infants, focusing on first aid for children in the early years. This course covers a range of scenarios one may face while working in an early years environment.

This course is in line with The Early Years Foundation Stage & SureStart guidance which states a minimum of 12 contact hours (not including breaks) and includes training with children, baby and adult manikins.

We offer this course as a face-to-face or blended course. The blended course consists of 6 hours of online learning and 6 hours of face-to-face training. The online modules can be completed at your own pace but must be completed before you attend the course.

On completion of the course, you will receive a First Aid manual, a First Aid kit with a face shield, and on achievement, a certificate valid for three years.
